Pilot ECHI data presentations In the framework of the Joint Action for ECHIM a data presentation pilot was made for a limited number of ECHI shortlist indicators. Aim of this pilot was to produce a standard for data presentations for ECHI indicators, aiming at national and international policy makers as primary target audience. For policy makers, the provision of information on time trends and on comparisons with other countries (benchmarking) are important purposes of the ECHI shortlist. Interactive trend figures, allowing for users to make selections of countries, are therefore the core of the data presentations in the pilot. In case not enough data are available to allow for detecting reliable trends, histograms are used showing data from the latest year available. Another important aspect of the ECHI data presentations is the detailed and structured presentation of meta-data, describing availability and comparability of the data. For policy makers to make a well considered appraisal of the evidence available, this kind of information on the data is necessary. Please note that the ECHI indicator definitions and preferred data sources for the indicators presented in this pilot may have changed since the publication of the pilot. This pilot therefore should only be used as a reference for which functionalities and what kind of information should be available for ECHI data presentations, and not as a reference for state of the art indicator definitions and data. The data presentations that were made for the pilot can be found below. This pilot will not get a follow up in this website. Instead, ECHI data presentations will be made on the Europa website through a joint effort of the European Commission and the ECHIM project partners and Core Group members. The standards developed in the pilot will be taken into account. The pilot ECHI data presentations: |
